Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering a reunion with Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos at Tottenham.
Spurs boss, Jose Mourinho described mercurial South Korean forward Son Heung-min as a “special player”, after the North London club defeated Brentford 2-0 to seal a spot in the Carabao cup final.
Ramos, 34, is thought to be considering a new challenge after 15 years at the Bernabeu, with his current deal expiring in the summer.
The Spain defender, who worked with Mourinho at Madrid for three seasons between 2010 and 2013, will be able to talk to overseas clubs in January as things stand.
And according to the Evening Standard, Mourinho is monitoring the situation as the Spurs boss seeks more experience at the back.
The report claims Tottenham are keen to sign someone in the mould of Thiago Silva. The 36-year-old has proved a revelation after joining Chelsea on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
Ramos, similarly, will be available for free next summer unless Madrid can agree a contract extension or accept a bid next month.
Speaking about Ramos at a recent press conference, Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane remained coy on the defender’s future.
